Q: What are some of the Bluffs' amenities?

A: The Bluffs has a 10,000 sf. Clubhouse (complete with fitness room, kitchen and laundry), 3 tennis courts, and two salt-water pools (a lap pool and a recreational-use pool). We offer complimentary kayak and canoe rentals at our Huckins Pond access. Other amenities

 

Q: What will the cost of a seasonal site be?

A: 2010 seasonal sites at The Bluffs at Danforth Bay are available for $3,300 plus metered electric. Rates include cable TV, Internet access, fitness room, use of canoes & kayaks and guest fees.

Rates also include access to Danforth Bay Camping Resort’s amenities and activities program. The rate for on-site storage for the 2010 winter season is $100.

Q: Can I sign up for a site now?

A: We are currently accepting deposits for reservations for the 2010 season. Reservations at The Bluffs are contingent upon the interview process described below.

All potential seasonal guests must go through a formal interview process to ensure that you understand the intent of this particular section of Danforth Bay, its operating guidelines and the operating guidelines of the entire park.

Q: What is The Bluffs' operating season projected to be for 2010?

A: We plan to reopen April 13 through November 11 (approximately... call for updates).

 

Q: What criteria must be met by guests interested in The Bluffs?

A: Two people must be registered per site, one of which must be at least 50 years of age. The Bluffs is intended for couples who no longer have dependent children living at home.

Q: Is "The Bluffs at Danforth Bay" the same as "Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort"?

A: Both resorts are owned and operated by the Hoyt Family, and are located on "Danforth Bay" of Ossipee Lake.

Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort was opened in 2001 and is perfect for seasonal or "overnight" campers and RVers of all ages.

Opened in June of 2006, The Bluffs is a $5 million expansion of Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort
and was developed as an "extended-stay" RV resort especially for adults 50+.

 

Q: What makes "The Bluffs" different from "Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort"?

A: The Bluffs offers ONLY extended-stay and seasonal sites and is intended for use by adults 50+ and their guests. Guests staying at the Bluffs have access to amenities at Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort.

 

Q: What exactly is "Danforth Bay"?

A: "Danforth Bay" refers to a bay of Ossipee Lake which can be accessed by a small channel connecting both bodies of water.

 

Q: Are children allowed to visit The Bluffs?

A: Children are allowed to visit on a short-term basis only. Anyone under the age of twenty-one must be accompanied by an adult whenever they leave their site. Additional restrictions exist, please see our Bluffs Guidelines for additional info.

 

Q: If I rent a site in The Bluffs and I decide it's not for me, can I move to a seasonal site at Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort?

A: Currently, all seasonal sites are filled. Should a site become available, we cannot guarantee you will be offered the site. There is a Seasonal Site Request form that must be submitted for consideration.

Each situation will be carefully looked at on an individual basis. Although we will try our best, we cannot guarantee that you can be assigned a site at Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort.

 

Q: Will there be amenities and activities for children?

A: No. This section of the park is intended for adults only. However, guests may participate in activities and use the amenities at Danforth Bay.

 

Q: Are sites "sold" or "rented"?

A: Sites at The Bluffs are NOT for sale. Sites are rented for the season.

 

Q: What happens to my site and at the end of each season?

All sites must be vacated by approximately mid-November. If you choose to leave your "RV", the rate for on-site storage for the 2010 winter season is $100.
