Keep track of the latest happenings, events and specials at The Bluffs | NEWS at The BluffsJune 23, 2007 June 17, 2007 June 11, 2007 Please take the time to look at the revised Bulletin Board (BB) The Activities Committee revised the BB so that you can locate information and activity events more easily. We asked that if you have an event to post that you leave a copy on the table and a member will be happy to place the notice in the proper place on the BB. Also most important if you have something to sell please place a 3x5 card in the appropriate location on the BB, please date the card and place a notice or picture in the 3 ring binder located just below the “For Sale” section of the board. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping this source of information neat. June 11, 2007 The Activity Committee (AC) has been busy putting on various activities and events. Now we need your input to give us some direction on “what you like”, and “suggestions for improvements”. Listed are some ideas that have suggested to the committee and we’d like your input on these ideas and/or make suggestions for anything not listed that you would like to have for “entertainment”. -Musical Groups for listening and/or dancing -Speakers on a variety of topics, ie: History, Science, Business, Weather Station, Wild Life, Safe Boating, etc. -Comedians We enjoy seeing you all at the various activities and events and look forward to your suggestions that will only add to the fun at the Bluffs. If you would please reply to this email or drop your input at the seasonal office to the attention of AC or give your written comments to an Activity Member that would be great. If you would reply by July 18, 2007 that will allow the AC the opportunity to schedule entertainment as soon as possible. Please understand that you are always welcome to attend an Activity Meeting with your suggestions or ideas.
June 15, 2007 Happy Father’s Day to all our camping fathers in The Bluffs! Last weekend we hosted a Welcome Back Luncheon for all the seasonal campers in The Bluffs. There was a great turn out with everyone enjoying lunch and each other’s company. Lots of new faces this year to introduce to last year’s campers. The activities committee has been busy working with the new activities coordinator, Jack Randall, planning and organizing the summer schedule. There are of plenty of new ideas and projects in the works! See our events list here! We continue to be busy giving tours of the park and showing sites to interested couples who stop by or call with questions. With summer here the interest in The Bluffs has increased! April 20, 2007 The Bluffs Water system is on! The water for most of the sites in The Bluffs was turned on yesterday with the remaining section, which services the Clubhouse and Pierce Place, scheduled for completion today. Water service for the summer seasonal sites in Danforth Bay is still on schedule for Monday. The remaining snow, which is mostly piles from plowing and in the real shady area, is disappearing quickly with the last few sunny days and warmer temperatures. Spring is finally on it’s way!
